Asbestos remediation can take place in different ways: with the actual removal which allows the source of risk to be definitively eliminated; with encapsulation, through which the sheets are covered and sealed, preventing the dispersion of the fibers into the air. Penetrating and covering products can be used or even confinement which involves the installation of barriers to isolate pollutants. In the event that the quantity of material to be removed is greater than 900 kg, asbestos remediation operations must be entrusted to companies registered in the National Register of companies that carry out waste management, as established by the Court of Cassation with judgment no. 11128/2015.
