Cos’è la Dichiarazione ambientale?

What is the environmental impact of a production activity? This question is answered by  a company’s Environmental Statement.

On our website you can consult our Environmental Statement 2020-2022 in accordance with Regulation 1221/2009 (as updated by Reg. 2017/1505/EU and Reg. 2018/2026/EU), drawn up on the basis of data updated to 31 December 2020.

Why an Environmental Policy

To ensure the protection of the environment, it is necessary to raise awareness and involve all those who in some way interact with our work.

For this reason, for some years we have been equipped with an Integrated Quality, Environment and Safety System compliant with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 45001:2018 standards, EC Regulation 1221/2009 EMAS (as updated by Reg. 2017/1505/EU), EU Regulation 333/2011, EU Regulation 715/2013, Ministerial Decree 188/2020-UNI EN 643/2014.

It is an effective tool for managing our activities – transport, treatment, recycling, recovery and disposal of waste, environmental remediation – and the translation of our commitment, aimed at improving the quality of the service offered, compliance with environmental legislation and compliance with the need to guarantee workers a safe and healthy working environment.

Environmental Statement: Our Commitments

The Environmental Statement is also a way to reaffirm and disseminate our intentions in terms of environmental impact, quality and safety of our activities. Here is a short list:

  • pursue the continuous improvement of the organization’s performance, both from the point of view of quality, the environment, and safety;
  • meet the needs and requirements of customers and progressively reduce the direct and indirect environmental impacts of our business;
  • guarantee the Customer that the services comply with the characteristics established in the contract, ensuring the required quality;
  • raise awareness and involve customers and suppliers, so that the environmental impacts of the various phases of the waste management and remediation cycle are properly managed, as well as the health and safety risks deriving from the performance of these activities;
  • actively share the Environmental Policy with our staff;
  • ensure continuous compliance with applicable laws and regulations, with attention to environmental legislation and safety;
  • ensure the effective monitoring of the activities carried out to control compliance with the Policy;
  • to ensure the compliance of iron and steel, aluminium and copper scrap leaving the company plants with the requirements established by EU regulations;
  • disseminate to the public the Policy and the information necessary to understand the effects of the company’s activities on the environment and maintain constructive, transparent and open relations with the Authorities and the public;
  • carry out periodic internal audits to verify the compliance of the System with regulations.

Direct and indirect environmental aspects

The Environmental Statement identifies and evaluates the aspects of our company’s activities, products and services, considering not only the direct environmental aspects, which depend directly on the management carried out by Valli Gestioni Ambientali, but also the indirect ones, linked to the activities of Suppliers and Customers.
