News on the export of certain waste destined for recovery

On 1 April 2022, Regulation (EU) No. 520/2022 amending Regulation (EC) No. 1418/2007 on the export of certain waste intended for recovery, listed in Annexes III and IIIA of Regulation (EC) No. 1013/2006, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union of the European Parliament and of the Council, to certain countries to which the OECD Decision on the control of transboundary movements of waste does not apply.

 Regulation (EU) No. 2022/520/EU of 31 March 2022, in force since 2 April 2022, introduced some amendments to the Annex to Regulation (EC) No. 1418/2007, which contains the indications communicated to the Commission by the countries to which Decision C(2001) 107 final of the OECD Council on the revision of Decision C(92) 39 final on the control of transboundary movements of waste intended for transport operations does not apply. retrieval.

– The table for China has been deleted.

– In the table relating to Chinese Taipei, third row, second column, the words “B1030 – B1031” have been replaced by the words “B1030; B1031”.
