MUD 2023 data referring to the year 2022

With a note on its institutional portal, on 10 March 2023, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) announced the publication in the Official Gazette of the D.P.C.M. approving the Single Environmental Declaration Model (MUD) for the year 2023, which must be used for the declarations referring to the year 2022.

According to the Ministry, “based on Article 6 of Law No. 70 of 25 January 1994, the deadline for the submission of the Single Environmental Declaration Model (MUD) has been set at one hundred and twenty days from the date of publication and, therefore, the submission of the MUD must take place by 8 July 2023“.

Ecocamere has announced that from 15 March Companies, Bodies, Associations and Consultants can operate on the portals made available by Unioncamere to ensure the compilation and transmission of the Single Model of Environmental Declaration.

  • Through the Simplified MUD portal  it is possible to fill in the Simplified Waste Communication to be sent then, via PEC, to comunicazionemud@pec.it.
  • Through the Telematic MUD portal  , users can transmit Communications on Waste, Packaging, Waste from electrical and electronic equipment and End-of-life vehicles. From the same portal, it is also possible to download the detailed instructions and record tracks to be followed for the declarations prepared with other software, as well as access the program for the formal control of the MUD.
  • Finally, the institutional entities responsible for the integrated urban waste management service access the MUD Municipalities platform  for the compilation and transmission of the Urban Waste and Waste Collection Communication.

Also from 15 March, the FAQs (https://www.ecocamere.it/faqs/MUD ) that Ecocerved has prepared to support users in filling out the MUD are available.

Summary of the updates to the MUD 2023 published

The Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) has published a “Summary of updates” to the Single Model of Environmental Declaration for the year 2023 concerning:

– Registry Section;

– Communication of Urban Waste and collected under agreement;

– Packaging Communication Section;

– Communication of waste from electrical and electronic equipment.
